A beautiful atmosphere of families, couples, and all sorts of people came out for Portraits in the Park to help a family in need.
“Eric Lord, 41, a father of five children aged two to nine, has been diagnosed with glioblastoma — malignant brain tumours — and is unable to work while he undergoes radiation and chemotherapy treatments.” – North Bay Nugget
Thanks to Kat King (the event organizer and local photographer), photographers from the North Bay Photo Club came out to donate their time, talent, and covering costs so that all the money raised could go directly to Eric Lord and his family.
The event was a complete success! Not only did people receive fantastic portraits from each of the photographers, there were also amazing raffle items donated from local businesses, and face painting, hair styling, and makeup artists available as well!
Overall the fundraiser brought in over $3000 to support the Lord family! There are so many opportunities to help out in our community, and I’m always thrilled to be able to give back in any way I can. Thanks so much to everyone who participated in the event, and I’ll be posting more of the photos very soon.
